Get excited Smiths fans. Music-News.com have reported that the legendary Manchester band will reform to play live shows towards the end of the year.
It will be the first time since their troubled split in 1987 that the band will regroup to perform. Apparently the information came from a "source" revealing that The Smiths had been in talks with a " well known" promoter. They have previously been offered 76 million big ones to tour the States and refused. I guess we'll know more as further info comes to light.
Update 04/05/2012: Further evidence has come to light, and Johnny Marr (former Smiths guitarist) has denied that The Smiths will be reforming. You can't have The Smiths without him so it's a no go.
