If there is one thing Ted Nugent loves apart from guitars and rock n roll, it's his right to bear arms.
Nugent has landed in hot water after statements he made at a National Rifle Association convention in St Louis Missouri. The secret service became aware of statements made by Nugent in opposition to Obama Administration firearm policies, "We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November." and this one " “If Barack Obama becomes the president in November again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year" The secret service have already spoken to Nugent and declared that he was clear of any wrong doing.
The commanders at Fort Knox in Kentucky have other ideas. They have cancelled Nugents performance on the “Midwest Rock n’ Roll Express” tour featuring co-headliners, REO Speedwagon and Styx due to "recent public comments about the president of the United States." Also campaiging to have a Nugent performance banned is Bangor City Counselor Charlie Longo who has sent a letter to promoters of the event Nugent is to play stating, "I believe that this vitriolic, incendiary rhetoric has no place in our national discourse. Furthermore, I do not believe that we should give him a platform to stand on in the city of Bangor."
