It was reported yesterday that Robin Gibb is in a coma brought on by a bout of Pneumonia. Grave fears are held for the former Bee Gee.
According to Robins official website the information as to his health has been confirmed by the following posted statement. " Sadly the reports are true that Robin has contracted pneumonia and is in a coma. We are all hoping and praying that he will pull through." Gibb has been plagued by ill health since 2011 when he was admitted to hospital for stomach problems, later revealed as being a growth on his colon that has since been removed. Gibb missed the premiere of his Titanic Requiem last week as the result of recovery from further intestinal surgery earlier this month.
Twin and fellow Bee Gees member Maurice Gibb also suffered ill health from an intestinal blockage and died from a heart attack in 2003, three days after having the blockage removed.
