Guitarist Ian Moss has sustained nasty injuries after being bitten by the family cat yesterday afternoon. As such Cold Chisel's Melbourne performance due to happen on April 12 has been rescheduled to April 19.
The bite left his middle finger severely infected and badly swollen, rendering him unable to play guitar. Such is the nature of the injury that Moss is being kept in hospital on an intravenous drip. Doctors confirmed today that Moss will be unable to play this Thursday but they are optimistic that he will be fully recovered ahead of the band's Hordern Pavilion show next Wednesday (April 18).
All tickets purchased are transferrable to the new show . If ticketholders are unable to attend the rescheduled show, refunds will be available from the point of purchase. Cold Chisel sincerely apologises for any inconvenience caused.
From his hospital bed Ian Moss has apologised also, "I'm sorry to inconvenience our fans who had tickets for Thursday in Melbourne. It's amazing that something like a cat bite can lead to a postponed show - that's what happens when you call your album No Plans. Sorry to be a pussy, I look forward to making amends next week."
