Got to hand it to Canadian DJ Deadmau5, he has basically put into words what a lot of people have been thinking about Madonna for some time.
The Canadian DJ dissed the 53-year-old Madge for glorifying the party drug ecstasy during her Ultra Music Festival appearance and for trying to appear "hip and trendy." That's the key really. Is it appropriate for a 53 year old to want to appear " Hip and trendy" at the expense of portraying ecstasy and herself as "Kewl" to a crowd of young people? Who does she thinks she is? Johnny Thunders?
Madge shouted out to the crowd at the Ultra Music Festival on the weekend " How many people in this crowd have seen molly?" (molly is hipster talk for MDMA or ecstasy) Oh, so, embarrassing Madge! I am cringing at the thought. Deadmau5 also cringed and took to his facebook page to vent his feelings. Here are some snippets of his ire;
"very classy there madonna. "HUR DUR HAS ANYONE SEEN MOLLY???" such a great message for the young music lovers at ultra. quite the f'n philanthropist. but hey, at least yer HIP AND TRENDY! f---ing cant smack my head hard enough right now."
Also this beauty " "WHAT THE F--- WAS THAT? That's your big contribution to EDM [Electronic Dance Music]? Thats your big message to ultra attendies? hipsterspeak for looking for drugs? f--- off you f---ing IDIOT. f---."
I reckon Deadmau5 feels better now.
