25 years after her first record, Madonna has qualified for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Madonna leads a class of '08 including John Mellencamp, The Ventures, Leonard Cohen and the Dave Clark Five.While no-one has questioned the inclusion of Madonna to the Hall, one surprise omission was the Beastie Boys who also qualified for next year.
The Ventures, Leonard Cohen and The Dave Clark Five are all well overdue, since their debuts were released more than 40 years ago.
The class of '08 will be officially inducted on March 10 at New York's Astoria hotel.
