Well maybe fake breasts.... but that's it. After the announcement this week that KISS and MOTLEY CRUE would tour together on one bill, Gene Simmons took the opportunity to rant about fake music....again.
Gene was captured questioning Madonna's ability to perform live a few of months ago in response to her halftime show at the Super Bowl stating " 'If you're going to get up, do it real. Do a real band, or tell everyone it's a tape...' Gene has now turned his attention to Rihanna and her karaoke stylings. Apparently both Kiss and Motely Crue are on a crusade ......here is what Gene said in a press conference set up to talk about the tour.
"Both Motley and KISS are united in one crusade: we are sick and tired of girls getting up there with dancers and karaoke tapes in back of them,” said Simmons. “What you’re going to hear on stage is live music. All the bombs are real, all the music is real, the guys you see onstage playing their instruments are playing their instruments. No karaoke singers allowed. No fake bulls**t. Leave that to the Rihanna, Shmianna and anyone who ends their name with an 'A.' This is real stuff.”
Other publications are calling Genes comments a "bizarre rant" and such like . It's not a bizarre rant it's the truth. Fake bullshit is taking over the airwaves and stadiums of the world, I for one would rather see real music played by real muscians with real instruments any day. Go Gene, Go Gene.
