Gnarls Barkley producer Danger Mouse talks about his new plans.
Danger Mouse, aka Brian Burton, has spoken to MTV News about his forthcoming projects, including a new album for the "side project" Gnarls Barkley. He's just picked up two Grammys for the work on Gnarls, and they report he's been inundated with offers to produce for stars but he says he turns most down.He told MTV, "The stuff I'm working on now is the stuff I've been working on before these successes or whatever. I'll continue to do those, and that's kinda what I want to do. And, of course, I always like doing whole records with people if I can."
While hesitant to give away too much about forthcoming projects, he told MTV he's been working on a whole album with Mark Linkous of indie act Sparklehorse and on a new album with Italian composer Daniele Lupi who contributed to 'St.Elsewhere'.
Also, although it was meant to be a one-off, expect another album from Gnarls, as vocalist Cee-Lo Green let slip before the Grammys that the duo have "five or six" new songs.
