After suffering a near fatal bout of pneumonia in 2011, George Michael cancelled the rest of his concert series from Vienna and was only well enough to recuperate at home just before Christmas.
At the moment he is holidaying/recuperating somewhere tropical in the Southern Hemisphere. (I can assure you it's not Melbourne). Apparently it is his first real holiday in many years and will put him in a place to be well enough to pickup from where he left off in September 2012, including the introduction of new material to live shows.
Michael revealed all via twiiter this week, summing up perfectly with "Pneumonia may have been a b**tard thing to go thru (through), but normally when I suffer you guys benefit somehow."
