R.E.M. have announced their final album release, “Part Lies, Part Heart, Part Truth, Part Garbage”. The album is a 40-song retrospective, and for the first time ever collects songs from R.E.M's entire back catalogue plus 3 new songs.
One of which is already doing the rounds and making a good impression on the internet "We All Go Back To Where We Belong".
Shockwaves are still being felt around the world since R.E.M. officially called it a day in September 2011. As such it was a genuine treat and surprise that Michael Stipe popped into the The Colbert Report to perform a last minute rendition of "Lean on Me" with Brian Eno and the programs host Stephen Colbert.
Colbert said goodbye to the iconic band by putting Stipe on his Rock and Roll Shelf of Fame.
