Queens Of The Stone Age have announced their next album, 'Era Vulgaris'.
In a scattered gonzo post on their myspace, the fuzz rock stars have announced that the new album will be titled 'Era Vulgaris' and will be released in June 2007. The post, titled "I was at the Sizzler today" also hints at song titles: 'Into The Hollow', 'Sick, Sick, Sick', 'Misfit Love' and 'Battery Acid'.The post urges people to sign up to their mailing list "for future insider info" and then chides fans to "get off the internet and go get laid, it's Valentine's Day".
Queens Of The Stone Age are renowned for their revolving line-up. The band used to be the baby of Josh Homme and Nick Oliveri but personal issues caused Homme to sack Oliveri in 2004, before their disappointing 'Lullabies To Paralyze' album of 2005.
Homme refused to tell NME who is in the band for the new album. When asked, he responded, "That's not a healthy question. You'll ruin the surprise. We've gotta keep our cool." Their myspace currently lists the line-up as "Josh" [Homme], "Troy The Pretty" [Van Leeuwan], "Joey" [Castillo], and "New Guy".
