Josh Homme is planning on reviving his record label Rekords Rekords and plans on rereleasing Queens of the Stoneage’s 1998 self titled debut to get the party started.
Coming up next will be Alain Johannes of QOTSA’s solo debut, ‘Spark’, which is a tribute to his late wife, QOTSA and Eleven keyboardist Natasha Shneider who died of cancer in 2008, followed by the second album by Mini Mansions, who feature QOTSA bassist Michael Shuman.
In the past the label has released Josh Homme’s ‘Desert Sessions’ series, as well as The Eagles of Death Metal stuff.
In Australia the label will be distributed by Liberator Music, part of the Mushroom Group, so the records will be readily available here.
