An unreleased Daft Punk song from 1994 has been discovered by a Scottish electro label.
Pitchfork reports that the Scottish electronic music label Soma were rifling through some old DAT and discovered one titled ‘Daft Drive’.
The song turned out to be a very early demo from French digi-pop legends Daft Punk.
The duo put out two songs with Soma – ‘Da Funk’ and ‘Rollin’ And Scratchin’’ – but ‘Drive’ was never released.
Well, never fear Daft Punk fans, because Soma is going to release the lost classic on a three-CD label retrospective box set.
Soma Records: 20 Years will be released on September 19 and will also feature tracks from Black Dog, Slam, Silicone Soul, Scott Grooves and much more.
