A cowboy hat and a pair of sunglasses owned by John Lennon and worn during The Beatles‘ 1965 American tour is going up for auction in Berkshire, UK.
The hat in question was made by Fenix, Mexico and the sunglasses are Italian made. Both items were given to Lennon’s uncle Charlie upon the Beatle’s return to England and both items come with a supporting letter of authenticity from Charlie himself.
Thinking of buying them? Well, the hat is expected to set you back anywhere between £5000 and £8000, while the glasses are a comparative bargain, estimated to go for between £2000 and £4000.
Cameo Specialist Auctioneers will put the items under the hammer next Tuesday, August 9th. For more information, click here and search for Lots #507 (the hat) and #515 (the glasses). While you’re at it, I know it's completely unrelated, but if you want to buy me Lot #30 on this page, it can count as both my Christmas present AND my birthday present.
