The Living End’s sixth album kicks off a week of massive local new releases.
Surely The Ending Is Just The Beginning Repeating will be the album to knock Adele off the top of the charts next week. Surely, right?
Either that, or maybe the Ten Tenors’ new album Double Platinum or even John Butler’s Live At Red Rocks record.
Then there’s the seemingly infinite set of Cold Chisel re-releases out this week.
There’s also PNAU’s new album Soft Universe, which had been advertised for August 1 but is available today.
There’s another Best Of Chris Isaak, but we Aussies love him dearly so that should do well.
Local singer-songwriter Jordie Lane’s Blood Thinner comes out today.
Ex-Sparta man Jim Ward delivers an album title more wordy than TLE in Quiet In The Valley On The Shores The End Begins.
Two big post-hardcore/deathcore/skinny black jeans releases come in the form of Suicide Silence’s Black Crown, and Attack Attack!’s self-titled deluxe edition.
On an even heavier tip, Polish death metal act Decapitated release Carnival Is Forever and Darkthrone deliver Goatlord.
There’s also hip-hop from Big Sean’s Finally Famous and thick beats from Salmonella Dub’s Freak Controller Madness.
There are also live albums from Biffy Clyro, Rodrigo Y Gabriela and Enter Shakari.
