Hillsong Church’s latest effort is the only new album getting close to Adele on this week’s ARIA chart wrap.
It looks like only the four horsemen of the apocalypse (or Coldplay and the Red Hot Chili Peppers) will be able to knock Adele’s 21 from the top of the charts.
LMFAO’s Sorry For Party Rocking sits at number two this week, and Hillsong Live’s God Is Able debuted at number three (is the title attempting to refute the ancient Greek philosopher Epicurus’ famous atheist riddle?).
Amazingly, the next debut this week was Limp Bizkit’s long-awaited return in the form of Gold Cobra at number twelve.
And Selena Gomez and The Scene popped in at 14 with When The Sun Goes Down.
Syndicate’s debut album just snuck in at number 20.
Brit-poppers Kaiser Chiefs dropped in at number 25 with their strangely-released The Future Is Medieval and Digitalism’s I Love You, Dude debuted at 41.
Oddly, Nicki Minaj scraped into the charts with Pink Friday at 48 but we swear that album was released here months ago, unless it’s a deluxe version or a re-release.
Otherwise, the top twenty was merely a rearrangement of chairs – Bruno Mars, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Bon Iver, Seeker Lover Keeper, Pitbull and the rest all remain in.
The biggest upward movements were from Skrillex, who climbed from 35 to 28 this week, and Pink who clawed her way back from the precipice; 48 to 39 this week.
Miley Cyrus dropped back from 18 to 29, The Grates’ Secret Rituals slipped from 25 to 45, and Wynter Gordon’s With The Music I Die fell from 26 to 47.
Angus And Julia Stone are back in the chart at 32 and Florence And The Machine continues an incredible run for an indie, holding at 24.
