An off-the-cuff comment by Sarah McLeod suggesting the imminent reunion of Superjesus has gotten ahead of reality.
The Superjesus are not about to reform, at least for 2011.
Sarah made a comment in the Sun Herald stating that the reformation of her 90s band Superjesus was on her to-do list.
In true media fashion, that became a happening thing before you could say ‘Sumo”.
Sarah meant sometime in the future, not now and most likely that sometime will occur in 2012.
For the immediate future, Sarah is finishing off her second solo album and will tour that around Australia in July.
The Superjesus have been inactive since 2004 after releasing three albums ‘Sumo’ (1998), ‘Jet Age’ (2000) and ‘Rock Music’ (2003).
Drummer Paul Berryman now lives in America, has a young family and would not be available until next year anyway. The reunion, when it happens, would be the original line-up including Sarah and Paul as well as Chris Tennent and Stuart Rudd.
To be continued.
