Cheryl Cole has been dumped by X Factor just three weeks after joining the show.
The surprise sacking comes with news that she will be replaced by former Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger.
Cole, who was to host the new season of the US show with Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and L.A. Reid, previously fronted the UK version of the show.
The announcement of Cole for the US was a surprise in the first place. The one-time member of Girls Aloud is virtually unknown the US market.
No reason for the sacking as been announced.
