Former Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole has been announced as the new judge on X Factor in the USA while in Australia former Rogue Traders singer Natalie Bassingthwaighte has scored a judging role in the Australian version of the show.
Girls Aloud started their career when they won the ITV talent show Popstars The Rivals in 2002. She was Cheryl Tweedy then.
Girls Aloud had instant fame with their first single ‘Sound Of The Underground’.
Tweedy married English football star Ashley Cole in 2006 but divorced him last year. She became a judge of X Factor UK in 2008. In her first year on that show, Alexandra Burke was the winner.
She will sit alongside Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid on the US show.
Natalie Bassingthwaighte was the former lead singer of Rogue Traders. She released her solo album ‘1000 Stars’ in 2009. She has appeared in the TV shows Neighbours and All Saints and hosted So You Think You Can Dance Australia.
Natalie will appear on Australia’s X Factor along with other judges Ronan Keating, Guy Sebastian and the recently announced former Spice Girl Mel B.
