Producer Diplo, who worked on the new Beyonce single, responds to the haters.
The debut of the ‘Run The World (Girls)’ video for the new single from Beyonce’s forthcoming album 4 has caused a lot of chatter on Twitter.
There has been mostly praise for the over-the-top, apocalyptic clip, but there’s been more bemusement about the song itself.
While her fans have been ambivalent about the song, there is a certain indie community who are perturbed that the song so heavily leans on Major Lazer’s martial beats from the single ‘Pon De Floor’.
Obviously, the indie debate will go on forever, but Major Lazer producer Diplo, who worked on the Beyonce single, has fired off a tweets to the hipster haters.
He wrote: “F all u kids h8ing on ‘run the world” cause @majorlazer was so kool and so indy and so yours before. Well eff u…” and finished his thought with another link “...cause u didnt buy our album u jus watched out youtube”
Now they can complain that he sold out because he’s holding back on swearing on his twitter feed.
