Lonely Island, the comedy trio featuring ‘Kiv’Schaffer, ‘Jorm’ Taccone and ‘Andy’ Samberg will have the biggest debuting album this week in the USA with their ‘Turtleneck and Chain’ album.
The guys from Lonely Island started out making short comedy films while they were still at junior high school
Their first paid gig was writing parts of the 2005 MTV Movie Awards. Saturday Night Live producer Lorne Michaels liked what he saw and put them to work on his show.
The one got them noticed worldwide was ‘Dick in a Box’ with Justin Timberlake. They also made the sequel ‘Motherlover’ that features on this album.
The album also features collaborations with Rihanna, Michael Bolton, Akon, Beck and Snoop Dogg.
