Happy days for U.S.A fans of Spotify that don't want to pay for the service. Its been three months since the footloose and fancy free spree was supposed to end....but the party's still jumpin'.
Apparently Spotify have announced that they have extended the freebie period for Amrican users of Spotify. Initially the plan was for customers that did not want to pay for the service to be capped at using 10 hours a month. The U.S.A is the only country yet to have this limit imposed, however other countries have had their restrictions lessened with the removal of the plan to only allow a free user to hear a song five times. At least it's something I guess...
The restrictions were placed due to negotiations with the big labels whereby they were supposed to give free users and incentive to upgrade their accounts and/or purchase music directly from Spotify.
