Steely Dan and Steve Winwood have been announced for the first acts for the A Day On The Green 2011/2012 season.
They will play five A Day On The Green shows nationally plus arena shows in Sydney and Melbourne as well as three shows in New Zealand.
Steely Dan is the creation of Donald Fagen and Walter Becker. Hits include ‘Do It Ago’, ‘Reeling In The Years’ and ‘Hey 19’.
Steve Winwood started out as a teenager in the Spencer Davis Group. He was 14 when he joined the band and was 17 when he wrote the bands first number one hit ‘Keep On Running’.
In 1969 he joined Blind Faith with Eric Clapton and then formed Traffic (Paper Sun, Hole In My Shoe). He went solo in 1977 and in 1980 recorded the classic ‘Arc of a Diver’ album featuring ‘While You See A Chance’.
Shows in each city will be for one night only. There will be no second shows.
