Today’s a day on the green event featuring Joe Cocker and George Thorogood & The Destroyers has been cancelled due to Melbourne’s deluge of rain.
Organisers Roundhouse Entertainment checked the venue at the Rochford Winery this morning and have made the decision after concerns for the safety of fans attending the outdoor show.
“The heavy rain and storms overnight have left many areas of the winery under water, and despite the best efforts of the site management team, there are still several areas of the site that provide a safety risk,” the statement read.
Roundhouse Entertainment is looking into the possibility of rescheduling the show at a later date.
Early this week, Cocker and Thorogood’s Townsville shows were cancelled because of Cyclone Yasi.
Tomorrow’s INXS a day on the green show has not been cancelled at this stage but is being closely monitored. Undercover will let you know when a final decision for the INXS show has been made.
