As was widely rumoured, The Police will reunite in 2007, and they'll be playing at the Grammy awards.
The Recording Academy confirmed on Tuesday that the group will open the event, which takes place in Los Angeles on February 11. Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland last performed together in 2003, whilst being inducted in the Rock n Roll Hall Of Fame.Sting had previously commented that the band were "talking about" doing something to commemorate their 30th anniversary this year. It is rumoured that The Police are currently rehearsing in Vancouver, and that a full reunion tour announcement is imminent.
