Former member of The Violent Femmes, now bass player for The Break and Hobart resident Brian Ritchie will be performing a special show in Hobart on Saturday afternoon.
Ritchie will play the Gong and Shakuchachi Concert, performing on over 60 gongs and blow the Japanese bamboo flute.
Brian moved from Milwaukee, USA to Hobart in Tasmania, Australia in 2008. He now performs with former members of Midnight Oil in The Break but has also acquired a Jun Shihan, shakuhachi teaching license.
Brian Ritchie also curates the Mona Foma festival in Hobart.
The Gong and Shakuchachi concert will take place at Chado – The Way of Tea at 134 Elizabeth St, Hobart, tomorrow (Saturday April 30) between 3 and 4pm.
