The Living End have completed work on their sixth studio album.
The yet-to-be named album was recorded at Red Door Sounds in Melbourne, the studio owned by Chris and Emma Cheney, Rae Harvey and Woody Annison.
The next chore is to pack away the recording and ship them off for mixing to Brendan O’Brien, best known for his work with AC/DC, Pearl Jam and Bruce Springsteen.
The Living End have road-tested a number of songs from the album over the past 6 months. Titles known to date are ‘Universe’, ‘Black and White’, ‘The Beginning Is Just The End Repeating Itself’, ‘Postcard American Town’ and ‘Heatwave’.
All up, the band had 40 new songs to choose from for this album.
The last album from The Living End was ‘White Noise’ in 2008. It spent two weeks at number one on the ARIA chart.
