Aussie rapper Drapht debuts at number one on this week’s ARIA Album Chart.
It’s a huge debut for the Perth rapper, delivering his fourth album Life Of Riley, and another win for Australian hip-hop.
Second on the chart is k.d. lang and her band Siss Boom Bang with Sing It Loud (and her Recollection album shot back into the charts at 18).
The next best new release is Aussie disco duo Tim & Jean with their debut Like What at 12.
Other new releases to crack the charts this week are: UK singer Rumer with Seasons Of My Soul at 35, pop-punks Unwritten Law with Swan at 41, and The Kills’ Blood Pressures at 43.
Adele keeps pressing up the chart, only trumped by Drapht and k.d. lang, at number three.
Justin Bieber’s My Worlds shot back up from 34 to 15 and tours sent The Script’s Science And Faith back into the chart at 42 and Celtic Thunder’s Take Me Home up from 40 to 28.
The biggest drops were from Sum 41, who plummeted from a 16 debut to number 49, and The Waifs’ Temptation, which slipped from 19 to 34.
