Virtuosos Katie Noonan and Karin Schaupp team up for a tour, performing “beautiful songs from the British Isles”.
Katie Noonan, of band george and from her dazzling jazz ventures, joins the lesser-known but no less talented Karin Schaupp, who has playing guitar around the world, released six solo albums for Warner and ABC Classics and performed with the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
With four ARIA Awards between them (Schaupp scored hers as part of guitar supergroup Saffire), this is the first time they have performed together.
What they’ll be performing are the finest British songs from artists such as Radiohead, Nick Drake, Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush, qand Dowland, Vaughan-Williams and Britten, as well as classic Celtic folk songs.
They run up and down the coast, joining festivals and even hitting Tasmania, from April to June.
