Peter Gabriel will perform songs from his 1986 classic ‘So’ across America with an orchestra.
Gabriel has developed the New Blood Orchestra with conductor John Metcalf for the US tour starting in Denver in June.
‘So’ was Gabriel’s biggest solo album. It featured the hit ‘Sledgehammer’ and the duet with Kate Bush ‘Don’t Give Up’.
Gabriel was the original singer in Genesis. When he left in 1975, the band’s drummer Phil Collins stepped up for the lead singer role.
Gabriel has recorded seven solo albums since leaving Genesis as well as film soundtracks ‘Birdy’, ‘The Last Temptation of Christ’ and ‘Rabbit Proof Fence’.
