Peter Gabriel’s next album will be an orchestrated reworking of his classics.
‘New Blood’ will be a studio CD and a live DVD with arrangements by John Metcalfe. It is a bookend to his last album ‘Scratch My Back’ which featured orchestrated covers of his favourite songs.
Gabriel recorded the live DVD in March, 2011 over two nights at the Hammersmith Apollo in London with the 46-piece New Blood Orchestra.
His daughter Melanie sings on ‘Downside Up’.
