Former Social Distortion guitarist Brent Liles, has died after being struck by a truck while out riding his bicycle.
Liles played with Social Distortion from 1981 but quit the band with drummer Derek O'Brien in 1984.After Social Distortion, Liles and O'Brien went on to form Agent Orange. He also played in the band Easter.
The accident occurred as Liles was joining the Orange Freeway in Placentia. He was pronounced dead at the scene but was unable to be identified for two days.
Liles was 43 years old.
The driver of the truck has not been charged.
