Another Glee compilation beats out punks Rise Against in this week’s chart wrap.
The seemingly never-ending chart dominance of Glee continues on this week’s ARIA Albums Chart, with Glee: The Music Volume 5 debuting at number one, just ahead of Rise Against’s sixth album Endgame at number two.
Looks like the slow summer period is ending, with two more new albums debuting in the top twenty: Elbow’s Build A Rocket Boys! at 13 and Liam Gallagher's new band Beady Eye with their debut Different Gear, Still Speeding.
Though, there was only one more new entry in the Top 50 - metallers Children Of Bodom’s Relentless, Reckless Forever in at 47.
Otherwise, there wasn’t that much movement in the Top 50.
Kanye dropped down from 14 to 26, Oh Mercy from 13 to 36, R.E.M from 15 to 27, and Adalita from 23 to 48.
Jessie J’s debut Who You Are bobbed up from 27 to 20. Usher’s Raymond Versus Raymond, which has been in the chart 37 times, climbed from 21 to 14.
Over on the Singles Chart, it’s worth noting that Britney Spears’ second single ‘Til The World Ends’ had a disappointing debut at number 19.
