The Glee juggernaut continues with the first album from The Warblers.
Glee: The Music Presents The Warblers will showcase the pipes of the show’s New Directions rival glee club The Dalton Academy Warblers. They’re the guys in the preppy blazers, for those with only a passing knowledge of Glee’s inner workings.
Yet it seem like those people are in a tiny minority, with the ARIA charts currently hosting six Glee cast albums and almost one million Glee tracks being sold last week in the US.
It’s yet to be seen whether The Warblers can capitalise on the success of New Directions, but since this new album is another catalogue of pop classics watered down for tweens, we can’t see why not.
The Warblers perform Destiny Child’s ‘Bills Bills Bills’, Train’s ‘Hey Soul Sister’, Pink’s ‘Raise Your Glass’ and eight more tracks from the show, as well as two exclusive songs: Barbra Streisand’s ‘What Kind Of Fool’ that they performed for the 2011 MusicCares Gala and a shot at Rod Stewart’s ‘Do Ya Think I’m Sexy?’
Glee: The Music Presents The Warblers will come out on April 22 through Sony.
