Charlie Sheen has already gathered over 698,000 Twitter followers after opening a Twitter account just 9 hours earlier.
So far, Sheen is following Fred Durst, Brian Wilson (from the Giants, not the Beach Boys), Diddy, Piers Morgan, Howard Stern, his assistant and from what we can only assume are a few of his porn star buddies.
He sent a message to Diddy saying, “get dressed my man … sending a driver” and in a more sombre moment to his followers “My sons’ are fine … My path is now clear … Defeat is not an option”.
Sheen’s other posts have been mostly cryptic or dribble but ‘the artist formerly known as the star of Two and a Half Men’ is using Twitter to reach the fans directly.
In the past week, Sheen brought about the end of the hit TV show ‘Two and a Half Men’ with a tirade against the show’s creator Chuck Lorre during a radio interview, then a tabloid TV interview, then an interview with Donald Trump’s English reality star who is pretending to be Larry King.
Lorre cryptically announced the demise of Two and a Half Men in a text posting at the end of his other hit Mike and Molly this week with the tell-all line “I’m outta here”.
Meanwhile, Sheen is basking in the most realistic reality moment he has ever had. We all await the next episode.
