Charlie Sheen will enter the Guinness Book Of Records as the first person to reach 1,000,000 Twitter followers in one day.
“Thanks to you fabulous and perfect humans, we bludgeoned our way into the 2nd greatest book of all time. “The Guinness book” now complete,” he posted today.
“”It has all of us within it’s pages, most Twitter followers EVER, 24hr period. They should change it’s title, “The Guinness Book Of Us”.
Sheen came on Twitter two days ago and currently has over 1.6m followers.
Until a few days ago, Charlie Sheen did not have a Twitter account but decided that it was the way he could speak directly to the fans without going through the media.
In this past week, the highest paid star on American television brought an end to the cash-cow known as ‘Two and a Half Men’ when a rant against the show’s creator Chuck Lorre bought an immediate end to the season.
Lorre later suggested the show was gone for good.
It is hard to believe Hollywood, Lorre and CBS will be able to hold a grudge with Sheen. The show pulls 15.2 million viewers every week in America and last season generated $155.1m for CBS in ad revenue. Advertisers pay $207,000 to run a 30 second commercial in the show. In Hollywood, the only language is money and Charlie Sheen speaks the right language.
So is Sheen a lunatic? Absolutely not! He has stood up to the powers above him and made a global statement with his comments.
Sheen just acted like a rockstar in this past week. When Axl Rose carries on with the same level on tantrum, no-one takes any notice.
