Tim DeLaughter, front man of the orchestral-rock band Polyphonic Spree and former front man of Tripping Daisy, is planning on releasing singles - but not albums - from The Polyphonic Spree, himself and a third as-yet-unnamed project.
When asked how he finds the time, he told The Dallas Observer “I’m releasing singles now. I can do whatever I want,” in reference to his label, Good Records Recordings, ditching the album format.
The Polyphonic Spree have remained relatively dormant since their last album ‘The Fragile Army’, but the 20+ members of the band look set to reconvene this year. There is no word on what the other projects will sound like.
In 2009, DeLaughter recorded the theme song to the TV series The United States Of Tara.
