Hooky R&B rockers The John Steel Singers join witty singer-songwriter Jonathan Boulet for a national tour.
The John Steel Singers had a great 2010, launching their well-received nugget of catchy rhythm and rock, Tangalooma, and landing a place in triple j’s Hottest 100.
Boulet himself has also been super-busy, with his band Parades, remixing and producing other Aussie acts, and starting work on his second solo album which is due out later this year.
The tour has the ever-so-droll name of ‘Here’s Johnny!’ and fans who buy tickets will score an exclusive track from each of the artists.
Jonathan Boulet’s is a remix of the John Steel Singers’ ‘You’ve Got Nothing To Be Proud Of’, who then offer a cover of Boulet’s ‘You’re An Animal’. Clever.
There will also be special guests at every show, to be announced. Tickets are available from the venues, indie retailers, MoshTix and OzTix.
