SELECT MUSIC IS TURNING SEVEN! To celebrate, they’ve decided to throw a massive party – with a purpose. They’re getting together some of their amazing acts including Bluejuice, Ball Park Music, Lior, Bob Evans, Hungry Kids of Hungary, Something With Numbers, The John Steel Singers, Midnight Juggernauts DJ’s & many more to play on one night across some of Sydney’s most exciting venues.
The main aim of the night is to raise money for beyondblue; a charity devoted to raising awareness and helping prevent depression. With grueling touring schedules, stressful deadlines, social pressures and a job that is surrounded by the influence of drugs & alcohol, depression is an issue that is seen far too often in the music industry.
Select is very proud to say that its artists are all 100% behind this idea, and feel that this is the perfect opportunity to give something back to the community – which is also why tickets for the night are so cheap. Happily the venues are forfeiting all their venue costs for the night, which means more for the good folks at beyondblue.
So, for a tops night of rock n roll with a cause you can visit Sydney venues THE STANDARD, UPSTAIRS BERESFORD, OXFORD ART FACTORY, OAF GALLERY and PHOENIX BAR to enjoy a bunch of bands and DJ's on the 21st of June. Tickets on sale 15th May.
