Southern rock throwbacks Kings Of Leon announce the name and release date for album number three.
The band of brothers (and a cousin) have announced that the follow up to 2004's acclaimed 'A Ha Shake Heartbreak' will be released on April 2 this year and will be called 'Because of The Times'. The band quipped, tongue-in-cheek, that if it does well, it's 'Because of The Times' and if it bombs, well, it's the same reason. The album was recorded in Blackbird Studios in Nashville (in their home state of Tennessee) as well as at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles. Production work was from Ethan Jones (Ben Kweller, Gerling, Ryan Adams) and longtime associate Angelo Petraglia.
Almost a year ago, the Followill brothers spoke to NME about the recording. Nathan said, "We just figure if you're a band, that's what you do - you record music, it means you make records as soon as possible. Soon as we write a song we want people to hear it." No doubt many were salivating at the news, even if it ended up taking a year.
