Rock legend Tom Petty has announced he will appear on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno later this month.
The recluse rock star will play a song from his new album 'Highway Companion' on the show on July 20th leading up to the July 25th release of the record.A second leg of the Petty tour has been announced with a September 26th date locked away at the Hollywood Bowl. Petty will be joined at the show with Stevie Nicks where the two are expected to perform their joint 1981 hit 'Stop Draggin' My Heart Around'.
Support acts for the next leg of the tour include The Strokes, Allman Brothers, John Mayer and Trey Anastasio.
