Mark Sultan, aka BBQ of King Kahn and BBQ fame is returning to Australia to show off his amazing one man band.
Sultan has made a name for himself as part of King Kahn and BBQ, providing lead vocals and being the chief songwriter, as well as being part of the Almighty Defenders, which is a collaborative band featuring Kahn and members of the Black Lips.
Sultan’s solo albums have been a melting pot of garage rock and 50s doo-wop driven by his husky voice and thrashy guitar playing.
Seeing the man on his own is an experience you won’t soon forget. He sits behind a small makeshift drumkit (a bass drum attached to one foot and a snare attached to the other) and belts out tunes that will set the most hardened music snob into a dancing frenzy.
