Pete Doherty has spent another night in jail after being arrested for joyriding early Saturday morning.
Doherty was allegedly a passenger in the car, which sped away from a police check at around 5am. He was reportedly caught by officers after trying to flee from the car once it stopped.A spokesman for Scotland Yard said, "Police arrested three males aged 35, 22 and 27 in the early hours of Saturday morning." Doherty, 27, had played a gig with his band Babyshambles on Friday evening.
In between the gig and his arrest, he quashed suggestions that he is planning to marry girlfriend Kate Moss, saying, "I'm never getting married. I don't believe in it. Kate and I are in love - I worship her - but we're not going down the aisle. I'm happy the way it is."
Meanwhile, Doherty has been banned from BBC children's TV. Tim Levell, editor of kids' news bulletin 'Newsround', said, "We have an informal agreement we don't cover Pete Doherty at all - in fact, there is one across the whole of BBC children's TV. And if his management asked if he could be a guest on a Saturday morning show, we would say no as we don't think he is a good role model for children."
Doherty's manager, Andy Boyd, is concerned the ban could hinder Doherty's record sales.
