The Roots, Jeff Tweedy And (Maybe) Springsteen Play Stewart/Colbert Rally

The Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert rally features some killer acts and maybe even The Boss!

The rally, which takes place in Washington DC on Halloween, was set up by current affairs satire hosts from The Daily Show and Colbert Report as a counter to Tea Party and conservative pundit Glenn Beck’s rallies.

It looks like it’ll be a hell of a lot more fun, with performances from The Roots, Sheryl Crow, and the new project from Mavis Staples and Jeff Tweedy.

But the big coup might be a secret one.

Rumours abound that The Boss may turn up for a special appearance.

He’s notably left-wing, and Jon Stewart is a mad fan who would probably do anything to make it happen.

If you want to see it happen, you can to watch the rally live online at Comedy Central.

It begins at midday, DC time, on Sunday October 31.

The Roots kick off the show with an extended performance, then Mavis Staples and Jeff Tweedy will play around 1pm and Sheryl Crow is scheduled for 2:15pm.

But keep an eye out for Springsteen.
