Country singer Beccy Cole was a massive mover in a largely unchanged album chart.
A month after the release, Beccy Cole’s cover album, Preloved, shot from number 311 to 32 on the ARIA Weighted Album Chart.
It was kicked off from almost 1000 physical sales in NSW, where she just polished off a set of dates with Adam Brand for the Rematch Tour (including the Bogan Big Day Out at the Nyngan Riverside Tourist Park).
The charts were otherwise mostly static. The top five remained exactly the same – Linkin Park, Katy Perry, Kasey Chambers, Eminem (continuing his incredible run) and Santana.
Mark Ronson and the Business International’s Record Collection debuted at number six, and Soundgarden’s Greatest Hits comp Telephantasm just snuck into the Top 20.
Eric Clapton’s Clapton debuted at 21, Michael Franti and Spearhead’s Sunshine came in at 34, and John Legend and the Roots, Wake Up! came in at 42.
Shihad’s Ignite topped the NZ charts last week but could only hit 44 here.
Selena Gomez and The Scene’s A Year Without Rain debuted at 46 and Seal’s 6: Commitment debuted at 47.
Acts who got into the 50-100 bracket were Serj Tankian (56), Robyn (68), Bad Religion (73), Ice Cube (78) and Neil Young (83).
