Bob Mould and Krist Novoselic will appear on what Dave Grohl says will be their “heaviest album to date”.
Dave Grohl spoke to BBC1 about the forthcoming Foo Fighters album.
He said they’ve recorded seven songs with Butch Vig and claimed it would be super-heavy, with “no acoustic guitars at all”.
They’ve also brought in Husker Du and Sugar frontman Bob Mould on a song called ‘Dear Rosemary’ and former Nirvana bandmate Krist Novoselic will appear on at least one song.
Plus, they’ve been filming the entire process for a documentary.
The new Foo Fighters album doesn’t have a release date, but he told Zane Lowe at BBC1 “2011, you’re not gonna be able to get us out of your hair.”
In the meantime, they’ve hooked up two shows in the UK in February with Scots Biffy Clyro, our very own Tame Impala, and American acts Death Cab For Cutie and Jimmy Eat World.
