Weezer will release their third album in 12 months in November.
‘Death To False Metal’ follows up September’s ‘Hurley’ and last November’s ‘Raditude’.
‘Death To False Metal’ are the leftovers from previous sessions. "These were great songs, great recordings, but for some reason they didn't make the final cut for previous records," Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo stated. "Some just weren't right for the albums we were recording at the time—just a bit ahead of their time or too 'rock.' Now, the time is right to introduce them. Together, they are the album that should logically follow Hurley."
One of the tracks is a cover of the 1996 Toni Braxton R&B hit ‘Un-break My Heart’. The rest were recorded from the late 90s and last 10 years.
The album will be released on November 2, 2010.
