They first broke up in Australia, but recently reunited UK shoegaze act Swervedriver are game enough to return.
In 1998, the band supported Powderfinger around the nation and broke up on the final date of the tour in Margaret River in Western Australia.
Frontman Adam Franklin spent a decade peddling his solo work, the band reforming in 2008 and playing Coachella.
In 2008 and 2009 their first three albums were remastered and re-released with bonus tracks and extended booklets.
Now, they grit their teeth for the first visit to Australia since that untimely Powderfinger fiasco.
They’ll hit Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, finishing up at the Perth International Arts Festival.
