John Farnham offers seven new songs on his first studio album in five years.
The Voice has announced his next album, Jack, due out on October 15.
Farnham said in a press release, “I had a great time making this album … Going back into Armstrong studios in South Melbourne was like going home to record. I can’t wait to take these songs out on the road.”
The eleven-track album does indeed feature seven new songs, the biggest group of new tracks since 2000’s 33 1/3.
He also belts out classics from Ray Charles, Curtis Mayfield and Percy Sledge.
Fans can get a first taste of the album tonight, on the AFL Grand Final edition of The Footy Show, where he’ll perform a ‘Hit The Road Jack’/ ‘Fever’ medley.
The medley will also be serviced to radio tomorrow.
He’ll tour the new songs across the country in October and November.
