Buffalo Springfield, featuring surviving members Neil Young, Stephen Stills, Richie Furay and Jim Messina, will perform together for the first time in 40 years in October.
The iconic band that launched the career of Neil Young will perform for Neil's charity function, The Bridge School Benefit on October 23 and 24 at Mountain View, outside San Francisco.Bruce Palmer died in 2004. Dewey Martin died in 2009.
Buffalo Springfield were together between 1966 and 1968. They recorded three albums, 'Buffalo Springfield' (1966), 'Buffalo Springfield Again' (1967) and 'Last Time Around' (1968).
In 2000, Young hinted at a reunion on his 'Silver and Gold' album with the track 'Buffalo Springfield Again'. The lyrics went "see those guys again and give it a shot".
Neil Young's Bridge School Concert this year will also feature performances from Elton John and Leon Russell, Elvis Costello, Jackson Browne, Modest Mouse and Pearl Jam.
This will be the 24th annual Bridge School Concert. Neil and Pegi Young have down the event for the last 24 years to benefit Hillborough's Bridge School, aiding students with severe learning disabilities.
